FishingIf you think of the west coast of Canada and think of beautiful mountains, ocean and a 30 pound Chinook salmon on the hook, Victoria is your place to be. Fishing in the Pacific is amazing, and off Victoria on Vancouver Island, you will have access to year round fishing for a variety of fish and shell fish.

There a number of great charter companies to take out of Victoria to make sure you get that big fish to remember.

Springtide Whale and Fishing Charters

Springtide Whale and Fishing charters is a great company to take, they offer a 46' charter that includes all equipment, bait and warm drinks. The experience is second to none with a four rod set up, an expansive back deck and a comfortable interior.

Kuroshio Charters

Another company that one can suggest is Kuroshio Charters, a 40' aluminum charter that exceeds customers’ expectations. Whether it be salmon, halibut or scuba diving this charter company does it all.

West Shore Fishing Charters

West Shore Fishing Charters offers a world class intimate fishing experience on their 26' fully restored boat. This company brings in salmon or halibut and for a good price.

Pedder Bay RV Resort

One other company that comes with quite a bit of recommendation is Pedder Bay RV Resort. They offer a variety of 16' craft to head off on your own to experience the west coast of Canada and the fish that swim in the waters off Vancouver Island.

Victoria, BC is home to some of the best fishing in North America. It is not uncommon to hear of 30-50 pound fish being reeled in by locals and professionals alike. Pair that with the tremendous scenery and you have more than enough reasons to head off to Victoria. If you catch your first salmon send us a post card of thanks, you will not regret your move to the west coast.
