There are plenty of great things to do in Victoria for February 14th. As one of the most romantic days of the year, this is the time for a man and woman to enjoy their time together and celebrate their love. Here are some of the things going on in Victoria for Valentine's Day.
Victorian Valentine Tea - 2pm
This event will feature plenty of romance with harp music and High Tea. It will be quite elegant and will be held at the Cordova Bay United Church Hall at 813 Claremont Avenue. Along with High Tea, this event will include an elegant fashion show with dress from the 1780s to the 1920s.
This event is limited and tickets can be purchased at Calico Cupboard, Janet's Special Teas and Just for You Fashions for $25 per person.
Valentine's Day French Bistro Dinner with Chef Jason MacIsaac - 6pm to 9pm
Join the Chef for something quite different as he prepares a French Bistro meal. You will get to learn tricks, tips and techniques to impress your friends and family at home. The menu will feature:
- Leek and celeriac soup
- Saltspring Island mussels
- Seared New York Strip Steak
- Profiteroles with chocolate sauce
This event will be held at Cook Culture, which is located at 1317 Blandshard Street in The Atrium Building. The cost is $85.
Musical Performances
Along with these two great events for Valentine's Day, couples can enjoy the following musical performances:
- Night Shift: Wild Romance from 8pm to 11pm at the Royal BC Museum - $30 per person
- Stephen Brown & the Bastion Band from 8pm to 11pm at the Ocean Island Backpackers Inn - Free
- Lust Life Jazz Band from 7:30pm to 10:30pm at The Bengal Lounge - Free
- Elliott Brood starting at 7pm at Alix Goolden Hall - $20 per person
Whether you want to enjoy music together or another type of event, there are plenty of choices in Victoria.
