During the holiday season, the Fairmont Empress has transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland that is the perfect place to take the family to have a little fun and make some memories that will last a lifetime. The Fairmont Empress has opened a new ice skating rink right on the front lawn of the hotel.

If you live locally, you can drop by for a few hours just to skate on the rink between the hours of 5pm and 9pm on weekdays and 11am to 9pm on the weekends. They offer several special holiday events on the ice, such as Skating with Santa on Sundays and Skating with the Elves on Christmas Eve.

You can also enjoy a nice hot cup of hot cocoa or apple cider to keep you warm. The Fairmont Empress also offers group skating packages so if you would like to have a party or just get the family and a bunch of friends together for an evening, you can do so at special group rates.

When you are finished skating, you can take a stroll through the hotel’s Festival of Trees, which is an amazing sight to see and will put you in the holiday spirit for sure. People travel from all over the surrounding areas to see the Festival of Trees each holiday season, so it’s surely something you won’t want to miss.

Many people come to the hotel on a getaway, and during the holiday season, the Fairmont Empress offers a special Skate and Stay package, which will reduce their normal hotel stay rates and includes skate admittance for two and a voucher for two free non-alcoholic drinks from the concession stand.

Whether you are looking for someplace to take the family for a whole weekend or you are looking for a fun activity to do for a few hours in the evenings, the Fairmont Empress is the perfect place to go.
