If you’re looking for some fun family activities to do to get you in the Christmas spirit, there are many activities to choose from in Victoria. Christmas is approaching quickly and before you know it, it will have come and gone, so the more memories you can make this holiday season, the better.
Live Nativity
Between December 21st and 23rd, you and the family can head over to Topaz Park to watch the Livre Outdoor Nativity Pageant in the evening hours. This event is free to attend and it’s an excellent way to experience the true meaning of Christmas that often gets overlooked and overshadowed by shopping, gifts, and parties.
Ferris Wheel
On weekends up until Christmas, you can head over to Centennial Square and take a ride on the Ferris Wheel and experience the beauty of the lights around Victoria from new heights.
Horse-Drawn Trolley
Relax with the family on a horse-drawn trolley ride around Victoria. During your ride around the city, you will get to take in all of the sights and sounds of the Christmas celebrations that you may have otherwise missed. The rides are free and are a great way to make memories with the family that won’t be soon forgotten.
Christmas Movies Under the Stars
Cuddle up with the family under warm blankets and sip hot chocolate while you enjoy watching some of the best classic Christmas movies of all time at the Starlight Cinema. This event is free; however, donations to Santa’s Anonymous are welcomed and appreciated.
Visit with Father Christmas
Stop in at Old Town and have a visit with Father Christmas. The whole family can share their Christmas wishes with him and have their picture taken with him.
Other Activities
There are many other Christmas activities around Victoria, from spending a few hours at the new skating rink to viewing the beautiful display of Christmas trees and gingerbread houses on the walk that starts at the Inn at Laurel Point and ends at the Fairmont Empress.
