The Victoria SKA Fest will be held on July 1st through July 5th. This festival will present many different genres of music. Music offerings include reggae, SKA, dub, jazz, dance hall and punk. Worldwide artist will be attending the event. This event is great for all ages, and is one of the oldest music events in North America.

What to Expect

You can visit the Victoria SKA Fest in a variety of downtown facilities throughout Victoria. This is a great chance for all ages to get involved and enjoy a diverse amount of music. There is an exciting schedule of artists, which includes The Debonaires, The Revivers, Planet Smashers, Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars, Chicago Afro Beat Project, Mad Caddies, The Resignators, The Ponderosas and lots more.

Tickets

Ticket prices vary from free to $25. You will get the best prices with the purchase of early bird passes. You have the option of two different event packages, which includes Full Festival and Harbour passes. These passes are limited, so you will want to act quickly. Admission is free for children under 5.

The Victoria BC SKA Society is a non-profit program, and they are currently accepting volunteer applications. They also pride themselves on providing an environmentally friendly festival. Over a five day period in 2011 with 10,000 people visiting the event, there were only six bags of garbage produced. You can check out their website to see how they made this possible.

The Victoria SKA Fest is one that will be enjoyed by everyone in the family. Come out and enjoy some happening music and tasty treats provided by a variety of vendors.
