Any music lover who has appreciation for jazz, blues, and world music should be sure to be at participating venues around Victoria, British Columbia from June 19-June 29, 2015 for the ten day long Victoria International Jazz Festival.
Artists
There will be several events throughout the festival and a total of three hundred acts. Some of the artists who will be in attendance for this year's International Jazz Festival include Naturally 7, Tower of Power, Pink Martini, Kenny Werner Trio, Freshly ground from South Africa, Troker from Mexico, Victorian Adonis Puentes from Cuba, GoGo Penguin, and Ester Rada. Venues
There will be several venues around Victoria holding events. Venues include First Met United Church, Hermann's Jazz Club, and District Nightclub.
How to get there
 For those without a car, the venues are all located a short walk from the harbour and the Port Angelos/Victoria ferry.
Tickets
There will be some free performances held throughout the festival including some at Centennial Square, as well as free workshops held at The Jazz Room. Tickets to all of the events can be purchased in advance online. For the best tickets and prices, it is suggested that you purchase them as soon as possible.
Where to Stay
Victoria, with its booming tourism industry, has a large selection of hotels. Just a few include Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, Victoria Regent Hotel, Sandown Hotel, and of course chain hotels like Ramada Inn.
If you are a true jazz fan, be sure not to miss Victoria International Jazz Festival. It is a good chance to see so many live musical performances with influences and backgrounds in many different styles and cultures, as well as support local Victoria venues.
