Don’t let the short, understated name fool you; fol epi is an amazing bakery with delicious breads and pastries. They specialize in organic bread and pastry and are rapidly growing as a new location is opening in the fall.

The Menu

You can find the following bread at fol epi:

  • Boule
  • Whole Wheat
  • Ciabatta
  • Rye
  • Baguette
  • Cranberry Hazelnut

No matter which one you choose, you can be sure that you are getting a work of art. At fol epi, bread isn’t just “bread.” It’s a delicious formula that takes bread back to the basics: the best ingredients, proper hydration, and skilled artisans.

If you are looking for a little more than bread, you should try fol epi’s tasty pastries. You can find a variety such as croissants, Danish, and cream pastries. Each a tasty treat that uses only fresh ingredients. Fresh fruit is used in season. During winter, when fresh fruit is impossible to find, fol epi uses their own preserved fruit that they made the previous season. In addition to fruit, they use imported ingredients such as spices, citrus, nuts, and chocolate.

You can find a lot of different cookies and even mousses and jellies if you are looking for something a little more than a bakery usually provides.

The Ingredients

As mentioned above, fol epi uses fresh ingredients. How fresh? They source from local farmers whenever possible and use organic sugars and flour along with local eggs. While they do offer some gluten-free macarons and cookies, it’s important to note that they mill their flour on-site, so it’s possible that gluten does get into even the gluten-free items. If you have celiac disease, you may want to think twice.

No matter what you choose at fol epi, you can relax and enjoy handcrafted bake goods made with only the finest ingredients to put that craving to rest.
