Victoria has some exciting coming up for the fall season. Everyone loves Halloween and all of the events that come with it, from dressing up in costumes to great parties and treats. Here are a few of the special events that residents can look forward to this Halloween season.
From 4-6pm on October 11th head out to Centennial Square for the Victoria Zombie Walk. Everyone will dress in their best zombie attire and makeup and parade down Government and Douglas Streets from Centennial Square. It will end at the Legislative Buildings.
Get ready for the family’s favourite event, Pumpkinfest. On October 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th & 26th the event will go from 10am-4pm. This gives families plenty of weekends to choose from to attend. For spookier fun, there will be a special night time Pumpkinfest from 6-10pm on October 17th through 31st only. The event will feature:
Adults will need $10 to get in and $7 per child. That will include a Train Ride ticket or a Corn Maze ticket. When you purchase your first ticket, you’ll get a second one for $5. For $45 get a family combo pass for 2 adults and 2 children where you’ll get both Train Ride and Corn Maze tickets. Petting Farm is included. The event is at 4150 Blenkinsop Road.
To tour haunted places in the city, try the Ghost Bus-Tours. You’ll get to see Victoria’s most haunted places ran by ghost expert John Adams on behalf of Old Cemeteries Society. You can join a scheduled tour or get a private tour. The tour lasts two hours.
The Ghosts of Victoria Festival is a collection of separate events conducted by various groups throughout the city. There will be ghostly walking tours, museum tours, cemetery tours, psychic tours, carriage tours, and many more. Check out the haunted restaurants and pubs after your tour.
Victoria will be a busy and spooky place to be this Halloween.
