Uno Fest has been around since 1997 and is the longest running solo performance festival in North America. They have had over three hundred shows, which is quite impressive. This year the event will take place from March 8th to May 24th at the Metro Studio and Intrepid Theatre Club. The show is always different, but always brings together incredible talent from all over the UK.
What You Can Expect At This Event
Every year the audience can expect an eclectic mix of all different music acts from Cabaret to folksy guitar playing and a lot of skits, acting, and mayhem. This year is going to be just as exciting with a huge lineup and tickets going on sale March 1st. Here are just some of the acts you will see; Me, Myself & Eye, Dissolve, Fylm, God is a Scottish Drag Queen II, The Lion, the Bitch and the Wardrobe, and many more.
The Intrepid Theatre is a smaller location and holds up to fifty people. The performances feel more intimate and tickets go fast, so grab yours the second they are available. The Metro Studio is a bit of a larger venue and will hold up to 172. It is perfect if you like a bit of a larger atmosphere for your performances.
Both places are fully equipped for live music, dance, and fun so you will have a great time either way you go. The opening night has a pay what you can entry fee so at least you can come out for that one. Each artist puts their whole soul into a solo performance and if you enjoy music, this is not an event you want to miss.
As one of the longest solo performance festivals in all of North American, it is an event music fanatics do not want to miss.
