The unfortunate truth is a lot of people see the restaurant name “Brasserie L Ecole” and are unwilling to give the place a real chance. There are a few different reasons this happens. First, the name really doesn’t tell you what kind of food or drinks to expect.

The second, is that it sounds like a pretentious and upscale place that is going to break the bank. If you can look past the name and give this place a try, you will find it really has a lot of great things to offer.

So, What Kind of Place is it?

The first and most important thing to know is this place is unpretentious. It serves drinks (a lo of beer) as well as simple and delicious food. The restaurant likes to identify itself as a French Bistro. It is a bold, cozy, and comfortable place that you just enjoy eating at. You have a hard time not telling everyone you know about how much you enjoyed your experience at this dining establishment.

The Menu

It is important to keep in mind that the menu of this establishment changes every single night. You can, however, go to the website to view the current menu. Oysters, marinated olives, duck confit, tune, trout, pork belly confit, and chicken liver mousse are just a few delicious dishes that frequent the menu.

Do not be shy about asking for slight changes to your dish as the chefs are happy to prepare the meal exactly the way you want to enjoy it.

Do not be surprised when you leave this establishment with a full belly and some money still tucked in your wallet. If you are worried about getting a table, do not be shy about calling ahead and asking for a reservation. You are guaranteed to enjoy your meal here.
